 What is Reiki?
It has been given its name and structure by Dr Mikao Usui (end 19th century). It aims at imposing hands on the body to allow the universal energy to flow and activate the self-healing capacity of the person receiving it. Many descriptions or equivalent terms are given as substitute for Reiki: life energy, universal energy, Love, Light, etc. What matter is not so much the name, it is more the experience it allowed you to have. It is not about explaining but about experiencing.

What are the Reiki grades?
In the present context, the term master is taken from the Eastern tradition to designate the person who will bring you a knowledge that you may not access on your own. In the Usui system, there are three different levels:
- Reiki 1: you get to learn to give yourself and to others Reiki;
- Reiki 2: you learn symbols and procedures to be able to give distance Reiki; and
- Reiki 3: you receive the master symbol which intensifies the previous stages and you learn to initiate others.
What can it do for you?
Reiki is a wonderful tool to reach a stage of deep relaxation at all levels of awareness (physical, emotional, mental and spiritual). Such a state brings support to the journey towards a more integrated personality and a healthy body and mind relation. A regular practice does not bring transformation in one's life. our monthly Reiki peer group that we host since 2001 has shown it to us in many ways.
Reiki peer group
Concept
The Reiki peer group was formed to regularly give and receive Reiki. As its name indicates it is a group of peers. We practice the Reiki system from Dr Usui. We practice in silence with background music. It invites every participant to turn within and let the life energy flow and be given to the person receiving Reiki. We wish to have a privileged platform to give and receive Reiki in a group format. Exchanging reiki is Love in action. It is a trans-formative experience for all participants and at all levels of awareness. It is also an opportunity to keep up with regular practice of Reiki.
Set up
The Reiki peer group meets once a month for an exchange where everybody in the group will get an opportunity to receive Reiki from all other participants for approximately 20 minutes. The participants meet in Frankfurt city center at 20:00 and the session normally ends around 23;00. short breaks take place in the course of the evening. the participation is for free, participants generally bring snacks to eat or drink together during the breaks.
Participants
Most participants have already been initiated for Reiki grade 1 and some grade 2 and few have also the master grade. It is not a pre-requisite to have been initiated to take part in the peer group. In our logic, everybody can give life energy and everybody can also benefit from receiving it.
